GET DEAL at Amazon

This book is a Kindle Serial. Kindle Serials are stories published in episodes, with future episodes delivered at no additional cost. This serial currently contains five episodes out of an estimated six total episodes, and new episodes will be delivered every week.

In the follow-up to The Circuit Rider, award-winning writer Dani Amore brings us back into the dusty, dangerous world of enigmatic itinerant preacher Mike Tower and his trusty right-hand woman, the hard-drinking, gun-slinging Bird Hitchcock.

Tower is sent to the Wyoming boomtown of Big River, where a young preacher has been viciously murdered, his crucified body left in a small valley known as Killer’s Draw. When Tower and Bird arrive in town, it quickly becomes obvious that no one wants to talk about the preacher—not about his life or his death. Tower is disturbed by the townspeople’s silence, and Bird’s no help—she disappeared into the nearest saloon as soon as they got off the train. Tower promptly finds himself in need of Bird’s quick reflexes as locals begin dying at an unnatural rate, and the circuit rider and his companion become the prime targets in the mysterious killer’s sights.

A fast-paced tale of two mismatched vigilantes with a taste for justice, Killer’s Draw is a booze-soaked, blood-splattered Wild West adventure.

James Rollins

"This book is so creepy. I made the mistake of starting in one night before bed. Not only did the story line keep me turning pages, it freaked me out to the point that I didn't want to turn off my light."
The Book Goddess

"This one had me flipping pages until 2 in the morning. I knew when I saw the quote from James Rollins (one of my favorites) that I would get at least my money's worth out of the book, but I had NO idea what laid in store for me."
Mimi - Novel Ideas

Overview: Plain Jane: Brunettes Beware
A Patterson-style thriller with a dash of Hannibal…

A city paralyzed by a serial killer stalking the night, taking a most gruesome trophy.

The only standing in the murderer's way is an FBI profiler…recently released from a mental institution.

Plain Jane combines the swift action of Patterson with the macabre of Harris.

Just remember to keep the lights on when reading this one!

More Praise for Plain Jane…
"When I read on the author's blog that Plain Jane was a "Patterson-style thriller with a dash of Hannibal" I knew right away that I wanted to read it. I was not disappointed and in my honest opinion this book is incredible!"
A. Harris

"Right out of the gate this book creeped me out. Being a brunette myself, the title alone was enough to scare me! This was a seriously good book. Words like unhinged, grotesque, shocking, intriguing, and macabre were spinning through my head as I read the stunning and suspenseful pages."
Brighter Scribe

Anyone who enjoys mystery/thrillers such as James Patterson, Lee Child, and Patricia Cornwell, Plain Jane will definitely satisfy your need for suspense!

Author Description:
Carolyn has had a long and extremely interesting road to become a bestseller.

When she head to veterinary school those many years ago she had no idea decades later she would be writing controversial historical thrillers, gut wrenching mysteries and roller coaster-style action/adventure tales!

Born in San Francisco and raised in the beautiful Napa Valley, Carolyn always had an overactive imagination. As a child you could usually find her dragging the neighborhood children out to the haunted barn to make her Nancy Drew-style audio tapes. Oh and did she mention, there was an entire life-sized recreation of the nativity scene in the rafters? Yeah, that wasn't just a little creepy.

Which of course was great practice for writing such blockbusters as Plain Jane: A Patterson-style thriller with a dash of Hannibal and 30 Pieces of Silver: An Extremely Controversial Historical Thriller.

Carolyn is honored to have a seven book contract with Amazon's mystery and thriller imprint, Thomas & Mercer along with being one of the eight books during the inaugural launch of Amazon's new Serial program (9th Circle).

With over 250,000 books sold, Carolyn now lives on a beautiful lake in the Pacific Northwest where the fog rolls in over the water, snuffing out all signs of life around her. Yep, she still loves the creepy!

When sixteen-year-old Hannah Sheraton is arrested for the murder of her stepgrandfather, the chief justice of the California Supreme court, her distraught mother turns to her old college roommate, Josie Baylor-Bates, for help. Josie, once a hot-shot criminal defense attorney, left the fast track behind for a small practice in Hermosa Beach, California. But Hannah Sheraton intrigues her and, when the girl is charged as an adult, Josie cannot turn her back. But the deeper she digs the more Josie realizes that politics, the law and family relationships create a combustible and dangerous situation. When the horrible truth is uncovered it can save Hannah Sheraton or destroy them both.

"This story was inspired by a case my husband handled. As a superior court judge he had to sentence a minor to life in prison. It made me wonder how I felt about minors arrested for violent crimes. Are they most vulnerable among us - capable or horrible violence, perceived as adults and yet emotionally still children?"
Rebecca Forster

"An enthralling read, with colorful, well-developed characters and the unique atmosphere of the California beach communities."
Nancy Taylor Rosenberg

"Blending complex psychological character portraits with spot-on accurage courtroom drmaa, Forster's riveting legal thriller keeps the plot twists coming until the last, satisfying page."
- Alafair Burke

Author Description:
I marketed a world-class spa when it was still called a gym and did business in China before there were western toilettes at the Great Wall. Then I wrote a book on a crazy dare and found my passion.

Now, I am a USA Today best selling author with more than 20 books to my name - and if you ask me where all those words came from I'd be hard pressed to tell you. All I know is that I wake up with a story in my head and go to bed the same way.

My specialty is legal thrillers and The Witness Series, featuring my beach-rat, volleyball playing attorney Josie Bates and her teenage ward, Hannah, have really captured readers' imaginations. But I also like to stretch the thriller genre a bit. Before Her Eyes, for instance, has a fantasy element intertwined with a murder mystery. Wilde's Gamble is a romantic suspense.

I teach at UCLA Writers Program and work with The Young Writers Conference, a program that helps motivate middle school children to explore the power of words. I am particularly drawn to kids who want to write because both my sons have always had a passion for it. Eric is a playwright and Alex is in film.

When I'm not writing I'm traveling, on a tennis court, working a sewing machine or reading. Thank you so much for taking a look at my author page. You can find out more about me - and leave me a note - at www.rebeccaforster.com

My author picture is in front of the historic Stillwater, MN lift bridge. This is one of the major locations in the book DEADLY STILLWATER (my gift as a free download). This bridge raises on a set schedule to allow larger boats to travel up and down the St. Croix River. Stillwater is considered the birthplace of Minnesota and it is also a frequent tourist destination with its river bluffs, amazing scenery, paddle wheel boats, and historic buildings which made it an ideal location for the book. It was at least 90 degrees the day of the photo shoot with hundreds of people milling around wondering -- why a guy would have a suit on in such hot weather…
