The Hunters Book 2

Author: Glenn Trust

Price: FREE

GET DEAL at Amazon

The string of bloody bodies scattered across the Georgia landscape seem to have nothing in common. From different neighborhoods, different levels of society and with different political philosophies, the victims have only one connection. They are all on a list. The question is, why and whose list is it?

Brought together by the list, "The Hunters" unite, once again, and work to unravel the conspiracy behind the murders. George Mackey, Sharon Price and Bob Shaklee are joined by Andrew Barnes and Perry Boyd of the elite Atlanta Homicide Division in a hunt that takes them from inner-city Atlanta to the swamps of south Georgia.

The story's gripping conclusion explodes in the revelation of the conspirators' identities. The one task left for the Hunters is to confront and take down the killing team, if they can.

Author Description:
A native of the south, Glenn Trust was born in Columbus, Georgia in 1951, the first of five children.

His father's work as a salesman filled his early years with moves from the banks of the Chattahoochee River in Georgia to Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Petersburg, Virginia and Baltimore, until finally returning to the Atlanta area in 1965. From then on, he remained a Georgian, going to school and growing up in the Atlanta area.

Varied work and life experiences have given him an appreciation for the virtues and faults of people at all levels of society.

He says about his work, "For the record, I love people, the humanity that populates the world. People are infinitely interesting, all of them. I may not like certain individuals and I may hate the things they do, but as a group, I am fascinated by people.

"I do work at trying to understand human strengths and frailties, and try above all else in writing to bring life and reality to the characters in my stories. The white hats the heroes wear are intentionally spotted and grayed by their own demons and struggles. The bad guys are not always misunderstood Robin Hoods. Sometimes they are just truly bad with no possibility of social redemption.

"In the end, the stories are fiction, about fictional people. I believe that through fiction, some of the greatest truths may be discussed and discovered about our humanity, or the lack of it.

"Finally, like real people, the characters I try to paint are not completely good and rarely completely evil. Like most of us, they lie somewhere in between."

To date, Glenn Trust has authored eight novels including The Hunters series of mystery/suspense thrillers and the Blue Eyes mystery/romance series featuring the exploits of Alice Trent, a woman making her way in a difficult world.

The work he considers his most important is Dying Embers, a novel about friendship, coming of age and overcoming the societal failings of the past. It is set during the turbulent days of the 1960's in the south during desegregation, a time that he personally experienced.

Lightning in the Clouds, a collection of short stories dealing with "end of life" events was published in February 2015. Others are planned.

While writing is his passion, he is also an avid Rver, walker, guitar player and reader, he resides with his wife in Nevada where they make the most of every opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy this beautiful world.

In 2013 she published two other books in the Agnes Barton series and they like the first, have went on to become bestsellers in both the cozy and humor categories. With extreme hatred in his heart against feminism, an act that feminists would label 'gynocide', a heavily armed Marc Lépine entered the University École Polytechnique de Montreal, and after allowing the male students to leave, systematically murdered 14 female students.

But what motivated Lépine to carry out this heinous crime? Mass murderer, madman, cold-blooded killer, misogynist, political zealot? Or was he simply another desperate person frustrated with his powerless status in this world? The case of Lépine has been debated among the most prestigious criminologists in the country. This account entails some of the most controversial opinions of these experts to date.

Only one thing is known for sure - Lépine's actions on December 6, 1989 radically changed this country and why he did what he did is much more complex than we will ever know.

The bodies of six boys are found in remote areas in different states with startling similar characteristics. FBI Agent Pete Kelliher and his team from the Crimes Against Children Unit investigate and discover a curious pattern that his superiors refuse to believe. Unfortunately for Pete, there are no other leads and nothing else to go on, and no proof to verify Pete’s theory.

Brett McGovern is a handsome and athletically talented eleven year old. He and his younger brother, Bobby, discover that someone breaks into their home at night while their family sleeps. One afternoon, an incident occurs, but Brett doesn’t tell his parents or anyone else, choosing instead to keep it a secret. A decision that is very costly.

More than a thousand miles away on the Navajo Indian Reservation, George Tokay, an eleven year old Navajo, and his grandfather have vivid, troubling dreams and visions. Neither understands the meaning or has an explanation. This lack of understanding is deadly.

Even though they live in separate parts of the country, the lives of Pete Kelliher, Brett McGovern, and George Tokay are separate pieces of a puzzle. The two boys become interwoven with the same thread that Pete Kelliher holds in his hand. The three of them are on a collision course and when that happens, their futures grow dark and dreadful as each search for a way out.

Author Description:
Kentucky author living in Lexington, Kentucky. I have always had a penchant for things a little outside the norm. I saw my first "ghost" when I was five years old, and I've spent my entire life trying to understand that vision. Was it real? And if it was, why? I became a paranormal investigator and love old houses that go bump in the night. I can often be found in old cemeteries just hanging out.

I studied metaphysics, including areas of touch healing, dream analysis, meditation and self-hypnosis. The power of the mind has always fascinated me. When reading I love books that allow me to travel around the world without ever leaving home. As an author my greatest desire is to create stories and characters that readers and love and hate, laugh and cry with and spend hours in sheer entertainment.

The Jacody Ives Mysteries was my first attempt to combine my love of mystery with my love of all things paranormal. The Catherine Mans series continues and expands that combination, delving into the darker side of the power of the mind.

I have always loved reading and writing. And although perhaps not a great literary work, I loved and was inspired by Old Yeller. The characters in that book were real to me. When I started writing, it was my greatest desire to write characters that readers could love and hate, laugh and cry with.

Knowledge was another love. I wanted to learn about everything. I studied metaphysics; delving into touch healing, dream analysis, meditation, and hypnosis. I received my associate's degree in metaphysics in 1992 and continued from there to become a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. I spent several years studying the effects of hypnosis on cancer and pain. I taught meditation, dream analysis and self-hypnosis through Eastern Kentucky University's Special Programs for four years. The power of the mind has always fascinated me. I've recently become a paranormal investigator, and love old houses that go bump in the night.

Author Description:
I grew up and have lived my whole life in rural Alabama. Story telling was as much a part of daily activities as chores on the farm and sitting down to supper. I heard stories from such an eclectic cast of historical characters in my formative years, that I couldn't help but absorb some of these skills. Had some of the storytellers of my youth had the inclination to take pen and paper, write them down and submit them, I'm confident some of them would have produced best-sellers.

I waited until rigor mortis had almost set in to decide to actually try and get something published. Now, writing consumes most of my daily thought. I still, and always will, live within 5 miles of where I was born, with my wife, Detha, a first grade teacher, and my 22 year old son, Jacob, who apparently has no designs on ever running away from home. I have a daughter, Mara, who thankfully is married to a great guy.

I love writing what I know, which is southern, historical thrillers filled with plenty of action, drama and adventure. I also have another alter ego which compels me to write modern, dark thrillers. I try to write dialogue as accurately as possible, using the vernacular and colloquialisms of the place and time, without making it difficult to read for non-southerners.
